RECLAIMED WOOD FURNITURE

Sustainability is a hot 'buzzword' in design nowadays. Slowly, more designers are becoming increasingly committed to the cause, advocatng the use of green materials and promoting recycling. And although it's impossible to live a perfectly ecologically sound existence today (correct me if I'm wrong), one can definitely do his or her bit where it helps.

Designer Brent Comber's Shattered collection certainly supports this notion - irregularly-sized wood pieces are recycled to create a functional piece of furniture. The finished product here looks sophisticated and exotic - an amazing feat given that the only material used is what one would commonly term 'trash'.
