ANCIENT MODERN STYLE

I chanced upon this gorgeous home on Desire To Inspire today, and quickly printed the images to add to my 'concepts' clipboard. "An Australian couple have turned a run-down 18th century villa in Positano into a light, airy, modern home. A cantilevered ribbon of antique Vietri tiles snakes through the living areas becoming a coffee table, a bench, a place to eat." Like Kim and company, I love the mix of ancient and modern forms in the design of the house. And oh yes, those lovely sparks of rich colours...

The tall panel behind the sofa is very unique! Looks like a tapestry on the wall.

I love the way how the coffeetable extends to a feature on the wall, and acts aas a mezzanine on the other side, brilliant!

it screams expensive all the way,

the way the windows have been incorporated in the arches is also very unique.
