I was recently engaged to style a vacated apartment at Marine Parade/ Siglap area, which is to be put up for sale. While the 1 bedroom unit, originally designed based on an open concept, offers a breathtaking view of the city skyline, the interior decor, with those mismatched colors and unattractive furniture, leaves much to be desired.
Living Room - before
With a constrained time-frame, it's clear from the onset that I've got to act fast. Thus, the entire rejuvenation took only a swift 3 days of work, and the end result is something I'm pretty pleased with - given that I only have minimal money to achieve the maximum impact (remember this unit is staged up to be sold?). Soothing shades of brown now run through the whole house, with bold floral patterns added (in the accessories) for good measure. The beautiful cow-herd (that's an imitation!) checkered wallpaper from Goodrich Global is an instant eye-pleaser. The more I look at it, the more I love it.

Stan, you rock - what an amazing transformation!!!
I love the lamp over the sofa. I've been looking fora similar one for my own home. Would you mind sharing info on yours? Thanks!
The end result looks amazing for the whatever 'limited' budget u hav! Well done, guys!
Hi Isabela, the floor lamp is an Artemide Tolomeo Mega.
I am saying, wow! what a real rejuvenation! And I am also thinking of real satisfied happiness you are getting doing such transformation!
Yes, it was really satisfying!:)
The makeover is very nice. Well done, stan.
Amazing transformation...as always!
It would be great if you could make 'before'/'after' as a regular feature on your blog :-)
well done! Did you re-upholster the sofa in 3 days? It looks a different colour!
Ya, Bhavna, watch this space for more before/ after projects from us!
And Su Ling, we did replaced the sofa upholstery to a dark rich brown fabric....
i was checking for some ideas and came upon yr site. not sure if u can give me some advice. Currently, i'm thinking of doing a side cabinet + display unit @ living room. I am not sure if its okay to match dark stripes as background and light yellow laminates as cupboard. the rest of my furnitures are rather dark brown (chair is beige).
Another thing is we are looking at sofa now. Our 2yrs old sofa is already peeling... PU leather. Because we are not into fabrics, we are now thinking of leather. Most dimensions are not suitable for us. (No L shape for long narrow living room) Now we are down to Relicner? sofa but will it look very out? Our concept is more of modern resort (dark tone). Hopefully u can advise. Thanks!
