5 COFFEE TABLE PICKS OF THE WEEK

I spotted a few interesting coffee tables over the past week and couldn't resist compiling them up on a post here to share...The Ming coffee table from Hongkong's Goodss brings to mind the Chinese Rosewood furniture from our parents' time. Threesome from Thailand's Planet 2001 is basically a rattan seat topped with a glass surface.

Bushes is a metal table with a beautifully laser-cut motif from Thai design firm Anyroom.

Lui Honfay's Zhu (Chinese for bamboo) table is intricately constructed of, well, processed solid bamboo. It's environmentally friendly. It's renewable. And the trellis-like design even serves the extra function of holding books. Need I say more?

If Transformers come in furniture and not vehicles, this Rotor table would be one of them. Available from Design Within Reach.
