To nurture design talents, the Singapore Furniture Industries Council organizes the annual Furniture Design Award (FDA) to provide a high profile avenue for Asian designers to express their creativity and gain recognition in the industry.
The theme for FDA 2008 – 'TENSION' – encourages participants in the Students and Young Designers categories to explore the element of tension in their design concepts, challenge their creativity to the hilt yet allow them tremendous free play in the process. The winning entries will be on display during the upcoming International Furniture Fair Singapore 2008.
