The owner of this flat seeks a clean looking living/ dining space which is easy to maintain. He hated the existing finishes and wanted to revamp the entire area. A devout Buddhist, he would like to create a contemporary, livable abode with space to display some of his collection of art and memorabilia.
A white scheme is proposed for the space, which is punctuated with spots of bright colors in the accessories and lighting. At the entrance area, a shoe storage cabinet adjoining a tall screen sits along the newly created walkway to demarcate the entry area and the rest of the room. This same cabinet accommodates a LCD TV on the other side.
A long wall panel featuring mirrors and boards in trapezoidal shapes lines up the wall at the seating area and integrates with a cantilevered prayer console at one end. The top and bottom of the panel comes with recessed lighting for effect.
