QUERCUS WATER BARREL PROJECT BY WEYERS & BORMS

No, we aren't about to see this tree stump water barrel anytime soon in Singapore (or in fact in most homes, wherever it may be located), but I'd love to lay my hands on one. I'm stumped for words, literally, when I first saw it. Made of polyester and fiberglass materials cast out from a 150 year-old oak tree trunk, the Quercus water barrel releases water via a small tap located at the bottom.

thought-provoking since cork is waterproof and anti-microbial, and comes from the bark of the cork oak.
very interesting concept.
