WHO NEEDS A HEADBOARD ANYWAY?

When renovation budget is limited, one thinks of all ways to make do. I am a huge proponent of mismatched, less predictable pieces in a space; and nowhere is that more fun to do than in the bedroom, with a unique and unexpected headboard. DIY-style, that is.

Blik's wall decals show that headboards can be made redundant (well, almost) and art is not solely meant to be hung up high and admired by all. That piece of peeling mantel or door you salvaged from some dusty construction sites will most probably serve fine too...

And gosh, who ever imagined chalkboards to invade the bedrooms one day? We surely didn't see it coming!
