OFFICE DESIGN AT THE VERTEX

We recently completed the renovation for an I.T company which specializes in engineering and innovation of high-tech equipments.

The design of this contemporary office is decidedly casual, in an attempt to create a relaxing ambiance in which customers and staff alike can feel at ease. By lining the offices, workstation cubicles and discussion rooms along each side of the space, the light from the only windows located at the far end of the space falls right into the entrance at the opposite side, brightening up the office without too much reliance on artificial lighting all the time.

In keeping to the Chinese ancient art of Feng Shui, timber stilt, which would signify growth and stability, serves both as a functional and aesthetic design element in the foyer and discussion room. The use of mirrors and the strategic segregation of these 2 areas (through clear glass) create an illusion of continuous rows of tall tree trunks lining up into infinity. Storage cabinets of different heights make up 'blocks' on varying levels, bringing another spot of visual interest into the design.

I really like the timber stilts and the Japanese-style glass partitioning. A great office design.
